Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

You have three options to get started:

Option 1: Go to My Profile and tell us about yourself. Fill in as little or as much information as you like. Information you enter will be used to search scholarships, complete scholarship applications, and complete your resume.

Option 2: You can dive right in and start filling out an application. Go to Scholarship Search to find scholarships you'd like to complete, and add them to your "My Applications" list. From there, you can start filling out the application on-line. The information you enter will be saved to your Profile and will be used to help pre-fill your resumé and any new scholarships you start working on. Click the “Print” button to print, or type ALT-F to preview, a copy of your scholarship application in a similar format in which it will be submitted.

Option 3: You can start composing your resume. Again, any information you enter will be saved to your profile and used to automatically pre-fill scholarship applications.

Completing a Scholarship Application

  1. First, go to the Scholarship Search section to find scholarships you're interested in; then click the "Add" button to add them to your "My Applications" list.
  2. On the "My Applications" page, you'll see all the scholarships you've selected. They'll be listed under "Applications I'm Working On," "Applications I've Submitted," or "My Other Applications," depending on how far you've gotten on each application.
  3. Click the scholarship's name to open its web form. You may find that much of the information has already been filled out for you, using information from your profile and from other applications you've worked on.
  4. While filling out the fields, pay attention to the following icons:
    • This indicates a required field that hasn't been filled out yet. When you see all these icons disappear, you know you've completed all required fields.
    • This means the information in this field matches what's in your profile. (It's up to you whether you want it to match or not.)
    • This means your profile contains information that's different from what's in this field. If you click the green arrow, the field's contents will be replaced with the information as it appears in your profile. (Again, it's up to you whether you want the field to match your profile or not.)
  5. At any time, click the “Save Work” button to save what you’ve done so far. You can come back later and pick up where you left off.
  6. At any time, click the “Print” button to print, or type Alt-F to preview, a copy of the application in the submission format.

Submitting an Application

  1. Thoroughly review your applications. Make sure you have completed all the required fields in each application.
  2. Acquire all additional forms, references, etc that are listed in the scholarships instructions.
  3. Once you application is complete and you have collected all addition documents, click the “Submit Application” button at the bottom of the page to submit your application. Your submitted applications will appear under the “Applications I Have Submitted” section. This step is very important. If you do not submit your application it will not be sent to the scholarship committee.
  4. Turn in all letters of recommendation in a sealed envelope with your name and the name of the scholarship into Ms. Carraher by 3:30 on March 8, 2019.
